Friday May 10, 2019
ROBERT Lambert is thrilled to be called up for the opening Grand Prix of the season in Poland.

King’s Lynn skipper Lambert, who rides for GB in this Saturday’s Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations at Belle Vue, replaces USA Icon Greg Hancock in Warsaw.

Hancock is taking a break from racing to care for his ill wife who is suffering from breast cancer.
And youngster Lambert said: “This is a great opportunity for me and I’m delighted to be called up.
“Obviously I would like to send my best wishes to the Hancock family at this time and hope Jennie makes a full recovery.
“Now I have to focus and get set for some big meetings with the Speedway of Nations at Belle Vue and the Grand Prix a week later.
“As always I’ll be giving my best!”

Lambert will be with the Poultec Stars at Wolverhampton in Premiership action on Monday.

They return to the Adrian Flux Arena on Monday May 20 when they face Poole.
