STARS MAKE CHANGES TONIGHT

Thursday September 12, 2019
BRITISH legend Chris Harris steps in for King’s Lynn in tonight’s Premiership clash at Poole.

Harris, who has ridden in over 100 Grand Prix meetings in his glittering career, has agreed to deputise for Michael Palm Toft who is still feeling the effects of a knock at the weekend.

And the Poultec Stars will also travel without Thomas Jorgensen, who suffered a shoulder injury when riding at Sheffield last night and is now doubtful for the remaining meetings of the season.

The rider replacement facility will operate for Jorgensen and his outings can be covered by Harris, Erik Riss, Lewis Kerr and Nicklas Porsing.

The good news for Lynn, however, is that Craig Cook has been cleared to continue riding after successfully appealing a Speedway Control Bureau ban.

The initial 12-day suspension was in relation to events at Eastbourne last month but at a SCB court of appeal this was amended to a financial penalty.

Stars co-promoter Dale Allitt said: “We would like to thank Chris for agreeing to stand in at such short notice.

“Thomas was hurt at Sheffield and we were aware of this last night, plus we lost Michael so we knew we had to do something.

“We’ll go there and give it a go, I’m sure Peter (Schroeck) will have the boys fired up for this one.”

King’s Lynn are back in action on home shale next Monday (September 16) when they face Swindon, who are in the hunt for the league title.

REVISED STARS TEAM: Robert Lambert, Chris Harris, Erik Riss, Thomas Jorgensen R/R, Craig Cook, Lewis Kerr, Nicklas Porsing.
