KING’S Lynn are pressing ahead with their new 2020 club programme – and other clubs are set to follow.

The brainchild of Minors and Brady Stars co-promoter Dale Allitt, the 24-page A5 publication will be available online during the season delay and is set to become a collectable item.

Depending on the reaction, the plan is for the club to produce it on a fortnightly basis to help ease the boredom for frustrated fans.

Issue one includes management columns from club owner Keith Chapman, boss Peter Schroeck and Allitt himself along with an Erik Riss four-page interview, quiz, kids page and guest columns from the top writers in the sport.

“It is a very difficult situation, but we as a club are putting something together with Curtis Sport where we put together a magazine every two weeks which people will be able to purchase online which will then be delivered to them direct,” said Allitt.

“It will be a programme type of format which will just keep people in touch with the sport.

“There will be some riders stories, nostalgia, quizzes, prizes and all sorts of bits and pieces which will keep people entertained while they have to self-isolate.

“I know all about that because I am in one of those vulnerable groups with being diabetic so it is all about finding stuff to do.

“It’s more about keeping the fans interested in what is going on and communicate with them because we can’t get together socially.

“With everything in place now it is a case of people can’t come to us so we will come to them in the form of this magazine which is something completely new for the club. We will try and come to you so hopefully that will relieve some of the boredom for a little while and it will be hopefully it will be well-received.”

Priced at £2.25 plus postage and packing, it’s on sale now at curtis-sport.com with the first issue heading to print this Friday.
