STARS writer CHRIS MILSOM looks back at Sunday’s successful British Youth Championship at the Adrian Flux Arena

IN what’s proven to be a torrid time for the sport in the UK with the cancellation of all league racing for 2020, hosting this round at King’s Lynn was a massive boost to people in and around Norfolk.

They love their speedway and it was a chance for supporters to take a look at the up and coming riders in the different race classes and it was also a chance for Stars fans to get the first look at recent signing Elliott Kelly who became a club asset a few weeks back.

Myself, personally I haven’t attended any of the previous rounds of the championship but I must say the future is looking very, very bright for British Speedway so massive respect to people like Neil Vatcher, Olly Allen and those working alongside GB to give these youngsters a platform to get into the sport.

The racing was brilliant throughout especially the 250cc category with Luke Harrison and Max James putting on a real show for the supporters, both riders look destined for big things in the sport.

Fingers crossed that’s not the last time that we get to smell of speedway at the Adrian Flux Arena in 2020, I know the promotion at King’s Lynn are looking at maybe a meeting in October but that will all be down to government guidelines and the local council to determine that outcome.

Milly.
