KING’S Lynn co-promoter Dale Allitt says it’s unlikely any racing will take place at the Adrian Flux Arena this month.

Allitt is keen to avoid a clash with the Grand Prix series at weekends plus the British Final at Ipswich on September 26.

And he’s keeping a close eye on the possible reintroduction of fans to elite sport in October with suggestions from government officials that they still intend to work on that despite recent restrictions coming into place.

Said Allitt: “It was a very useful exercise for us to stage the British Youth Championship last month and we learnt a lot from it.

“I’d like to try something else but in reality it will be October if we manage to do that. There’s so many other things going on now, this month is probably ruled out for us.”

Allitt is delighted to see the sport get the nod for a government test event with a crowd with the British Final at Ipswich with Lewis Kerr representing the Stars.

“It’s tough now they can only have 1,000 people at Ipswich because they were heading for a sell-out, I sympathise with Chris Louis at Ipswich for that,” he said.

“I think it’s great that the event goes ahead when others have been cancelled and I’m sure it will be a big success both on and off the track.”

Stars fans who don’t have a ticket will be available to watch live thanks to a new streaming service.

Fans have bombarded British Speedway’s social media channels asking how they can watch from home.

And after days of talks, the British Speedway Promoters Ltd have come to an arrangement with live streaming professionals Sport Central for a multi camera production with behind the scenes action and live commentary.

Stream tickets are available from sportcentral.tv and cost £12.95 with the meeting build-up starting at 7.15 and the first race is 7.45. The stream will go live at 6.30. Registration and email verification will be required before purchase.

Meanwhile Stars youngster Elliot Kelly has a big weekend ahead as he rides in the British Youth Championship at Edinburgh on Saturday before heading to Scunthorpe for the British Under 19 Championship the following day.

“It’s going to be hectic but I’m really looking forward to it,” he said. “It’s good to go racing and with the help of King’s Lynn I really feel I’m improving all the time.”
