TY KEEN TO HEAD BACK TO LYNN

TY Proctor has revealed how he was happy to leave King’s Lynn last year – but can’t wait to get back there!

Proctor was having a tough time in 2019 and felt moving on to accommodate both Craig Cook and Erik Riss at the Norfolk Arena was the best thing for both parties.

He moved across to Peterborough after making contact with Panthers boss Carl Johnson as he knew they were looking to make changes.

Proctor had been lined up to return to Lynn this season before the pandemic wiped out an entire league season.

“I’m keen to head back to King’s Lynn next year,” he said. “I don’t see myself going anywhere else although I enjoyed it at Peterborough.

“I could see things weren’t going well at King’s Lynn last year and I knew they were going to make a decision on the team.

“I put my hand up and volunteered to move on. The fans were on my back, and I don’t blame them, but I want to get back there and remind them what I can do now.

“I realise it’s all quiet where speedway is concerned at the moment but the club know where I am and they know I want to return next year to pick up my racing.”

Speedway bosses are starting to accept a traditional March start may be too soon next year with all eyes on the football situation and when fans will be allowed to return in stadia.

There are suggestions promoters could look for an Easter weekend launch with supporters permitted in Covid secure venues.

King’s Lynn have already shown they can stage events with the British Youth Championship staged in August and several Stock Car meetings during the year.
