STARS BOSS PREDICTS EMOTIONAL NIGHT

Friday May 07, 2021
KING’S Lynn boss Peter Schroeck believes it will be an emotional occasion when the Stars go to the tapes for the first time in well over a year on May 17.

After months of hard work the Minors and Brady Stars bosses are making their final preparations ahead of the opening fixture against Ipswich at the Adrian Flux Arena.

The club will be holding their press day on Monday, May 10 at 10.30am with members of the media invited to attend which will be followed by a behind closed doors practice session at 12pm.

Schroeck said: “I think it’s going to be quite emotional for everyone and we all need to get back into the swing of things finding our feet again.

“We’re very pleased with the team we have put together which is much like before and I believe what was good enough for 2020 is certainly good enough for this year.

“All the boys are well up for it as they have had a good rest so they’re all going to be hungry and if they aren’t then there is something wrong.

“Like I have said before sometimes a little break makes you realise how lucky you’re being able to do what you love doing and when that is taken away from you it can wake you up a little bit and overall I really do think that we’re going to have a good season.

“I don’t think it will take long for any of them to get back in the swing of it now and a few of the boys were practicing up at Scunthorpe last weekend which is good.”

Ticket details for the opening night are expected to be confirmed next Tuesday, May 11, once confirmation has been given by the government that the roadmap to recovery step three can go ahead.
