HOME DEBUT FOR LAWSON

Wednesday June 23, 2021
KING’S Lynn face one of the Premiership title favourites with Belle Vue at the Adrian Flux Arena on Thursday (7.30).

The Aces have pieced together a formidable side and Lynn will need to be on top form.

British Final runner-up Richard Lawson makes his home debut for the Minors and Brady Stars alongside fellow recent recruits Connor Mountain and Ricky Wells.

American ace Broc Nicol steps in at reserve for Ty Proctor who has ruled himself out.

Lawson is relishing the prospect of making up for lost time in Lynn colours. He said: "Of course I was disappointed not to start the season with a team place in the Premiership.

"I quietly hoped that after a month or so though I'd find somewhere and for it to happen even sooner than that was good.

"I was chuffed to bits, I was grateful for the opportunity and I want to make sure I repay them."

Belle Vue have been leading the table for most of the season but were overtaken by Peterborough on Monday.

They have a strong spearhead in British sensation Dan Bewley, who has qualified for the Grand Prix Challenge, and Australian ace Brady Kurtz.

Former British Champion Charles Wright is also included and their brilliant young British rider Tom Brennan at reserve shocked some big names with nine-points in the Grand Prix qualifier at Glasgow.

Tickets remain on sale from the King’s Lynn website kingslynn-speedway.com and fans are urged to book quickly.
