KING’S Lynn boss Alex Brady is backing in-form Richard Lawson for a rostrum spot at least in Monday’s Sports Insure British Final at Belle Vue (7.30).

Lawson, who was in stunning form for the Minors and Brady Stars in the agonising home defeat at the hands of Peterborough, has been an inspired signing by the club.

He finished runner-up in last year’s final and is keen to go one better but is also in a typically relaxed mood.

Brady said: “Rich is one of, if the not the, most in form British rider in 2021.

“He’s a pleasure to work with each week and I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t make the podium at least.”

Lynn also have both Lewis Kerr and recent signing Ben Barker in the showpiece event at the National Speedway Stadium.

Brady added: “Ben is so desperate to well in this meeting, and having finished on the podium a couple of times before, he knows what it takes. Don’t rule him and his all action style out.

“Lewi is cool, calm and collected at all times but don’t be fooled - he’s really up for this!

“Like a lot of riders, he loves the Belle Vue track and he’s going to be giving it everything.”

Tickets are available from the Belle Vue Speedway website and the box office at the stadium will be open on the night. Racing starts at 7.30.

Lynn are back at the Adrian Flux Arena this Thursday when they welcome Sheffield back for their second visit of the season.
