TOFTY IS STAR GUEST!

Wednesday September 08, 2021
FORMER King’s Lynn favourite Michael Palm Toft is back with the club – for one night only!

Danish racer Palm Toft, who helped the Stars to the 2018 Grand Final, replaces the injured Richard Lawson in Thursday’s final home meeting of the season against Sheffield.

And co-promoter Dale Allitt has confirmed the club will be making a positive and significant announcement about the 2022 season during the evening.

He said: “It’s no secret that we are already looking towards next year and have been for some weeks now.

“This is the final opportunity for fans to come along and enjoy live speedway at the Adrian Flux Arena this season.

“Our announcement will be something we want our loyal fans to hear about first when they are at the meeting and we look forward to seeing everyone for one final time this year.

“We looked at the possibility of a Pride of the East individual meeting to round off the season but we just feel it’s better to round off the season now after the tough time we’ve had for various reasons.

“It’s time to start again and look ahead to the future.”

Sheffield arrive looking to bounce back from a late collapse in Monday’s defeat at Belle Vue and have qualified for the play-offs.

And because this meeting is a rearranged date and fans bought programmes for the original staging the club have decided to produce an eight page issue for this meeting for just £1 to keep costs down for fans.

The two clubs have also agreed a new date for the meeting at Owlerton for Sunday September 26 at 5pm, the last day before the play-offs begin.

KING’S LYNN: Michael Palm Toft, Ben Barker, Erik Riss, Lewi Kerr, Thomas Jorgensen, Connor Mountain, Kasper Andersen.

SHEFFIELD: Jack Holder, Troy Batchelor, Kyle Howarth, Josh Pickering, Adam Ellis, Danyon Hume, Jack Thomas.
