KING’S Lynn boss Alex Brady has revealed how he is keeping in touch with all his riders - with a new team whatsapp group.

Brady says the team spirit and banter has already started since the arrival of new faces Peter Kildemand, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall and Jack Thomas.

And he’s reported good news on Richard Lawson and Thomas Jorgensen who ended last season on the sidelines.

“I spoke in-depth to both Rich and Thomas last week and if the season was starting now they’d be good to go,” he said.

“They’re very upbeat and positive about the new season and everyone in the team is looking forward to it.

“I keep in touch with all the guys, we have riders in Australia, Denmark and England so it’s good to get group communication going.

“Josh Pickering took a slight knock in Mildura last Friday but he’s fine and he’s racing again this weekend in Darcy Ward’s meeting which should be good.

“I speak to Lewi Kerr more than once a week because he’s busy piecing his testimonial together and we’ll be announcing more about the format very soon.”

Kerr’s big day at the Adrian Flux Arena is on Sunday March 20 and the latest names to be added are current British Champion Adam Ellis and 2019 winner Charles Wright.

The duo join Lynn legend Niels-Kristian Iversen, new signing Peter Kildemand and British icons Danny King and Chris Harris in a star-studded field.

Kerr said: “It’s going to be great have two recent British champions in my meeting. Charles did a great job when he lifted the title in 2019 and he certainly surprised a few pundits when he won but from riding with him up at Redcar towards the end of last season I can see how fast he is on a bike and how focussed he is at meetings.

“Adam is another rider who I have a lot of respect for and has always seemed to go under the radar when we talk about quality British riders.

“He was literally head and shoulders above anyone else at the British Final last season and to beat Dan (Bewley) on his home track like he did is no mean feat.”
