KING’S Lynn favourite Thomas Jorgensen will have to sit out at least the start of the 2024 season.
The Danish star, who rode for Lynn from 2017-23, saw his season ended by serious injury after a crash at Edinburgh last summer.
However, his recovery from spinal injuries appeared to be going to plan and he had signed up to join Championship club Redcar this year.
But after developing pain in his back and legs once again, he visited a specialist who confirmed further monitoring of the situation would be required as his spine had become unstable.
That means racing speedway at this time is impossible, and Thomas has therefore had to stand down from his team place with the Bears, who have now moved to sign his fellow countryman Jonas Knudsen.
All at King’s Lynn wish Thomas well after this disappointing setback, and we hope to see him at the Adrian Flux Arena this year.
