NEW TEAM SPONSORS FOR STARS

Tuesday March 19, 2024
KING’S Lynn are delighted to announce a new team title sponsorship deal with local skip hire and waste management specialists PSH Environmental Ltd.

The Norfolk based firm, who are strong supporters of motorsport, have come on board to back the Stars for the 2024 campaign, with the news confirmed at Tuesday’s press and practice session.

Established in 1985 as Parkers Skip Hire, the family business now covers all areas of the county and amongst their portfolio is a contract with Norfolk County Council to handle 60,000 tonnes of municipal black bag waste each year.

With building a sustainable future at the forefront of operations, they have recently gone through a large phase of heavy re-investment, having installed 798 solar panels at their Rackheath facility.

On a bright day the site is fully self-sufficient, not pulling power off the grid, and it produces enough energy to power 140 homes per day. They also run a 38-tonne shredder entirely off solar power.

The company have adapted their own bespoke recycled machinery and a unique feature of their business in Norfolk is that they send zero waste to landfill. All waste placed into their skips is sorted and separated, recycled where possible, or turned into Refuse Derived Fuel.

PSH Environmental director Daniel Parker said: “We’ve been around motorsport for as long as I can remember, and oval racing has been part of our family for generations, passed down by my granddad.

“Motorsport gives you an incredible adrenaline rush, something which is hard to find in other sports – especially being so close the racing, standing by the fence and getting the noise, the smell, the atmosphere, the battles on track, there’s nothing quite like that for me, whether it’s speedway or stock cars.

“Having always had such a big connection to motorsport in our family it’s now come to the forefront that we can support the King’s Lynn team in this way.

“At the start of a year you’ve always got the best hopes going into the season, but I do feel it’s a very strong team this year and we can give it a really good shot.

“The first meeting is away from home, but after that we’ve got a good run of home fixtures and hopefully that will give us a good foothold in the table.

“I want to see us getting to the top and competing for silverware, and with our support that will make it even better.”

King’s Lynn owner Keith Chapman said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Daniel and his team to the club. They’re a new name for speedway, they are nice people to deal with, and they’ve been involved in stock cars for a long while.

“They are Norfolk people which is good, it’s nice to have that local connection and hopefully we can do them proud this season.”

The PSH Environmental Stars will go into action for the first time this season at Leicester on Thursday, with the return fixture opening up the campaign at the Adrian Flux Arena one week later on March 28.

They have now extended that arrangement to offer further backing for the Stars team themselves, which is much appreciated by the club. Their full services can be found at https://www.adrianflux.co.uk .

It’s also a very warm welcome to chartered accountants Mapus-Smith & Lemmon LLP, who have offices in Downham Market, Wisbech and King’s Lynn itself.

The company offer the full range of accountancy and audit services and serve a wide range of clientele across Norfolk, along with working with numerous businesses nationwide.
