STARS v IPSWICH, PREVIEW

Wednesday May 22, 2024
KING’S LYNN return to the Adrian Flux Arena for a ROWE Motor Oil Premiership head-to-head with local rivals Ipswich on Thursday (May 23, 7.30pm).

The PSH Environmental Stars were winners last time out on home shale at the beginning of the month against Birmingham and also put in the best scoring performance of any away side at Belle Vue earlier this week despite eventual defeat.

Team boss Rob Lyon hopes his side can take the plus points from that six point defeat into Thursday’s derby with the side also boosted by the return of Benjamin Basso.

Said Lyon: “As I said after the meeting on Monday, I was really pleased with the way the boys took it to Belle Vue.

“Hopefully we can build on that now and get a good result against Ipswich.

“It’s always nice if you can put one over the local rivals but for me it’s just another two league points up for grabs and we desperately need them.”

Lyon will be absent from the pits on Thursday due to a prior personal commitment whilst rider replacement will again operate at No.1 for the injured Tobiasz Musielak with six out of the seven sides in action.

KING’S LYNN: Tobiasz Musielak R/R, Benjamin Basso, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Michael Palm Toft, Nicolai Klindt, Patryk Wojdylo, Anders Rowe.
IPSWICH: Emil Sayfutdinov, Dan Thompson, Adam Ellis, Tom Brennan, Jason Doyle, Keynan Rew, Jordan Jenkins.
