INJURY BLOW FOR PALM TOFT

Sunday June 02, 2024
KING'S Lynn's Michael Palm Toft is set for a spell on the sidelines after a crash at Berwick on Saturday.

The unlucky Dane came to grief in Heat 6 of Scunthorpe's match at Shielfield Park, falling on the first bend when he suffered a broken chain.

Ironically the race had already been stopped at that time due to movement at the start, but when Palm Toft came down he was unavoidably collected by team-mate Nathan Ablitt.

MPT was taken to hospital with a suspected broken collarbone, and to assess any further shoulder damage.

The collarbone injury will keep Palm Toft out of the PSH Environmental Stars' upcoming fixtures, starting with this Thursday's (June 6) KO Cup clash with Sheffield at the Adrian Flux Arena.

We wish Michael well for a speedy recovery.
