STARS INJURY UPDATE

Tuesday June 04, 2024
KING’S Lynn have called upon former Stars riders Richard Lawson and Simon Lambert to make guest appearances in Thursday’s KO Cup clash with Sheffield.

Lawson, who rode for the club and was a high scorer in 2021-22, comes in for Tobiasz Musielak who is not yet fit to return as he continues to struggle with an ankle injury.

Musielak broke his collarbone in a crash at the Adrian Flux Arena in early May, but he also suffered ankle ligament damage and it was this injury which curtailed his return to racing in Poland ten days ago, when he only took three rides.

Tobiasz is keen to be back with the PSH Environmental Stars as soon as he is fit, and hopefully this will be when the league campaign resumes at Leicester on June 13, but the club will not be putting undue pressure on him and will welcome him back when he is ready.

Meanwhile Lambert, who had an impressive stint in the second half of last season, comes in for Michael Palm Toft, who is out with a broken collarbone.

Palm Toft has dropped to reserve under the new June averages, meaning the Stars must use a guest in that position, whilst Patryk Wojdylo moves up to No.2.
Sheffield expect to be at full strength including GP duo Jack Holder and Tai Woffinden, with Josh Pickering lined up to return from injury.
