KING'S Lynn Young Stars continue their bid for National Development Trophy honours when they make the long trip to Plymouth on Saturday (7pm).
The Blueprint Construction Young Stars have won all four of their matches in the competition so far, whilst the Centurions recently raced home and away against Birmingham and narrowly secured the aggregate point.
They have a powerful spearhead in Joe Thompson and Ben Trigger, and plenty of local track knowledge on a circuit which offers a real challenge to visitors.
The Young Stars deploy their new riding order for the first time with Cooper Rushen stepping up in to the main body of the team, and Harrison Rogers goes to reserve. Arran Butcher comes in at No.2 as a guest for the unavailable Ashton Vale.
Team manager Jason Pipe has been delighted with the progress shown by his team in 2025 "" and he wants all the effort to be rewarded by title success in the second half of the season.
Pipe said: "We all agree that this league is mainly about developing riders, with the odd one or two experienced riders helping pass on advice along the way with some teams, and many say it's not about winning the league.
"Believe me, every speedway rider wants to win the title if they are racing in a league. If the focus wasn't on winning the league, then all meetings at this level should just be "challenge' meetings.
"Our lads are all developing as we go along, which is proven by our new set of averages that we recently were given and IF we were to win the league, then that would be a great bonus and a job well done.
"But we can't count those chickens yet as we are only at the halfway stage and even though we are unbeaten in four, we still have four hard meetings to race in starting with our trip to Plymouth this Saturday.
"Plymouth is a very technical track, the smallest in all the leagues, and one you really have to use your head and more so, throttle control.
"The Centurions have started off their home season with a win and I'm sure their boss, Barry Bishop, will have his boys ready for this, as they'll not just be seeing this as a good chance of another home win, but I'm sure they'd love to stop our unbeaten run!
"We need to make sure on Saturday that we are up for it from the start, because Plymouth is never an easy place to go to and get a result, and even though their team may look a little weaker than ours, on paper, they have riders who can spring a surprise or two.
"Ryan Ingram has been impressing me this season, having watched him in the British Youth and at Redcar just recently, when he was with his NDL team Leicester racing against Middlesbrough.
"Mickie Simpson I'm sure will want to put one over on us, as he was left disappointed earlier in the year when I had to tell him I couldn't fit him into our Young Stars team!
"We all know what Ben (Trigger) and Joe (Thompson) are capable of, and Charlie Southwick has also being catching my eye this season. So I'm sure we are going to be in for some good racing and I'm sure it will be a close one."
