KING'S Lynn race their final away match of the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership season when they visit Oxford on Bank Holiday Monday (7.30pm).
The PSH Environmental Stars are targeting a clean sweep of results against the Spires this season, as their current record reads five wins out of five in league and KO Cup.
They were victorious at BetGoodwin Oxford Stadium 53-37 back in late March, and they then raced to an excellent 52-38 win in the league in mid-June.
A win in any of their last three matches will see the Stars exceed last season's points total of 22, scant consolation for being unable to reach the play-offs but also some indication of improvement in 2025.
One thing which should already be in the bag is the aggregate point following Lynn's emphatic 63-27 win at home to the Spires last week with the visitors looking a dispirited unit in that meeting.
However, they can be expected to regroup especially on their home circuit and in front of the TV cameras, and with Charles Wright back after missing the meeting at the Adrian Flux Arena there should be plenty of fight from the home side on this occasion.
Australian youngster Mitch McDiarmid continues to deputise for the unwell Erik Riss, and the Spires will also be looking for better from Rohan Tungate after he took just two rides due to apparent mechanical issues last week.
Oxford have won only four matches this season, all of them against bottom club Birmingham, and they will be keen to address that particular statistic across their last two matches.
Stars boss Rob Lyon names an unchanged line-up in personnel and riding order from last Thursday's defeat at Ipswich, with Chris Harris and Nicolai Klindt racing against a recent former club, and Niels-Kristian Iversen racing against his old club from much further back in time.
Iversen lined up for Oxford when they were known as the Silver Machine in 2003-05 and has frequently enjoyed his returns to Cowley over the past couple of seasons with a string of double-figure scores.
Lyon said: "It's a big week with Oxford away and Belle Vue at home, and those are two meetings for us to get our teeth stuck into.
"Two more wins and more points on the board would be nice, and we want to win our last three matches to give us a bit of momentum going into the winter.
"Nothing has been decided about next year yet, with a lot of talking to be done, but we're looking forward to this week first."
