NICOLAI Klindt has revealed why he’ll be taking a watching brief in his Testimonial Meeting at the Adrian Flux Arena this Sunday (3pm).
The former PSH Environmental Stars skipper has assembled a top-class line-up for the first speedway event in the UK this year as he celebrates his extensive UK career.
The main event is a four-team tournament featuring four of Klindt’s former clubs – King’s Lynn, Poole, Swindon and Wolverhampton – but the Dane won’t actually be competing himself!
New Stars signing Max Fricke will join his team-mates Jan Kvech and Chris Harris along with Niels-Kristian Iversen for the Lynn team.
And there are a host of other Grand Prix stars including Jason Doyle representing Swindon, Brady Kurtz for Poole and Fredrik Lindgren for Wolverhampton.
Klindt said: “It might be a little unusual to some that I won’t be riding in my own day.
“But for me it’s important to be involved in the day that hopefully is going to be a big day for me.
“My intention on the day is to look after the sponsors who are supporting my day, but also to spend time going around the stadium, being amongst the fans and have interaction with as many people as possible, at the same time as being involved in the running of the meeting to make sure that everything is going to be perfect.”
Normal King’s Lynn admission prices will apply for the meeting: £25 for adults, £23 concessions, £5 for children aged 12-15, and accompanied under-12s go free.
