BONANZA LATEST + SPONSOR DETAILS

Wednesday February 15, 2023
FORMER British No.2 Steve Worrall has been added to the line-up for the Ben Fund Bonanza at King’s Lynn on March 25 (5pm).

Worrall, a Championship title-winner with Poole last season, will be making his sixth appearance in the event with a best finish so far of second place at Scunthorpe in 2020.

He will be back with Wolverhampton in the Premiership this season, who are the Stars’ first league opponents at Monmore Green on April 3.

Worrall said: “Much as we try to avoid serious injury, sometimes it can’t be avoided, and I’ve had my fair share of support from the Fund in the past, so it’s only fair that we give something back and I’m very happy to be in the meeting.

“It’s nice to get out early in the season as well in a meeting that’s not too serious. I’d love to go one better than 2020 and win the meeting, but it’s not really about winning.

“I think the majority of us just want to help the SRBF and if I can attract a few extra fans by being in the meeting then I am very happy to do that.

“I’m pleased to say I have had a couple of relatively injury-free seasons now though sometimes it can be the small crashes that cause problems, like the one that pulled my back last year.”

BEN FUND BONANZA LINE-UP SO FAR: Lewis Kerr, Danny King, Simon Lambert, Fredrik Lindgren, Connor Mountain, Michael Palm Toft, Steve Worrall.
