BONANZA LINE-UP COMPLETE

Wednesday March 15, 2023
THE final four riders have been named for the season-opening Ben Fund Bonanza at the Adrian Flux Arena on March 25 (5pm).

Former Wolverhampton star Jacob Thorssell will be back in the UK for the event as he makes his debut, and he is joined by Leicester newcomer Justin Sedgmen and the experienced Paul Starke.

And, subject to final confirmation, the line-up should also include MacInnes Stars winter signing Krzysztof Kasprzak with the club’s other 2023 newcomer, the returning Michael Palm Toft, already a confirmed starter.

Thorssell said: “It is my first time, yes, but they (the SRBF) helped me massively when I did my back, that was in 2017.

“I really appreciate what they did for me so it is the least I can do to ride in the meeting. I’m looking forward to it.

“I know King’s Lynn well of course and I have been not too bad there over the years I have been in the UK.”

“I’d like to (return to UK racing) but the biggest problem is that there are not any convenient flights back to Sweden on a Tuesday.

“That’s the biggest reason I am not riding there and I am missing all my friends.”

The line-up also includes several former Stars riders – 2022 team members Richie Worrall and Lewis Kerr, along with Connor Mountain, Ben Barker and Simon Lambert.

FIELD FOR THE BONANZA: Freddie Lindgren, Simon Lambert, Danny King, Connor Mountain, Lewis Kerr, Michael Palm Toft, Steve Worrall, Charles Wright, Tom Brennan, Kyle Howarth, Richie Worrall, Ben Barker, Jacob Thorssell, Paul Starke, Justin Sedgmen, Krzysztof Kasprzak.
